Yesterday, I overheard someone saying this on the bus during a major downpour:
"This is one way of getting rid of homeless"
So compassionate.

Indeed. :-( I thought the roof was going to wash off our house with how heavy the rains have been lately.
Unfortunately our weather here (particularly when it gets super cold) is not fun for anyone exposed to the elements, including those of our neighbors who have hard times keeping up with their heating bills over the winter. Oregon HEAT (http://www.oregonheat.org) is a great non-profit that helps people's heat stay connected during inclement weather when heating bills might be higher if any of you are looking for a positive way to help with this.
